Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking experienced E&I Project Engineers to support the Brigalow Peaking Power Plant, a major BOP project with 12 GTG units and associated electrical, instrumentation and control infrastructure.

You will be based in our Brisbane office for mobilisation, planning and procurement, then transition to site construction near Chinchilla, Queensland, contributing to safety, quality and schedule adherence across the E&I scope.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Sound knowledge of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers and control systems.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA and system interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate E&I construction and commissioning activities to meet objectives safely, on time and within budget.
• Manage delivery of electrical, instrumentation, communications and control system work scopes.
• Review engineering documentation, specifications and vendor deliverables.
• Coordinate interfaces between E&I, SMP, civil, commissioning and client teams.
• Develop and manage work packs, ITPs, test records and commissioning documentation.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, NCRs and design clarifications to close out.
• Support procurement activities including vendor engagement and FAT participation.
• Monitor project schedule, cost performance and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, QA requirements and Australian Standards.
• Support testing, energisation and handover activities.
