Job summary

Dawsons Training in Cairns is seeking a Trainer & Assessor to deliver classroom, practical, and workplace-based training and to assess learner competency across diverse trades. You will mentor students and help them achieve nationally recognised qualifications while supporting ongoing learner outcomes.

The role values practical industry experience, strong WHS knowledge, and excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, TAE40122, or equivalent).
• Minimum two years recent industry experience within a relevant trade/operational environment.
• Strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) principles and safe work practices.
• Ability to facilitate training programs and engage adult learners.
• Experience assessing learner competency and providing constructive feedback.
• Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• A passion for helping people develop skills and succeed in their careers.

Responsibilities
