Smokemart and GiftBox (SMGB) in Bateau Bay NSW is seeking a Sales Assistant with a customer-first mindset to provide a fun, authentic shopping experience. You will be part of a busy, target-driven team that values energy, warmth and great service.

Your duties include delivering high levels of customer service, sound cash handling and EFTPOS, building product knowledge across pillars of the business, merchandising, stock control and complying with WHS and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in high‑tempo retail environments and meeting targets.
• Ability to handle cash and operate EFTPOS accurately.
• WHS and security guidelines followed at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide high levels of customer service and build rapport with customers.
• Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions.
• Learn and maintain product knowledge across all pillars.
• Maintain store standards, assist with merchandising and presentation.
• Work towards budgets, targets and KPI's.
• Assist with stock control and quality management.
• Follow national legislation, WHS and security guidelines.
