St Brendan's Primary School Somerville is seeking a dynamic Physical Education teacher to join our team for a fixed-term, part-time role (0.5 FTE). The position commences January 27, 2027, with graduates and early career teachers encouraged to apply.

You will deliver an engaging PE curriculum from Foundation to Year 6, coordinate inter-school sporting events, maintain equipment, and promote wellbeing, teamwork and sportsmanship among students, staff, and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold current VIT registration.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Graduate and early career teachers welcome to apply.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver an engaging and innovative Physical Education curriculum for Foundation to Year 6.
• Coordinate all sporting activities and events, including inter-school competitions, sports carnivals and recreational programs.
• Oversee maintenance and inventory of all sports equipment and facilities.
• Promote student wellbeing, teamwork and sportsmanship through physical activity participation.
• Liaise with staff, students and parents regarding the sports program.
• Provide support and supervision for staff and students involved in extra-curricular sporting activities.
