Job summary

Kojonup District High School is seeking a dedicated Primary Physical Education Teacher for a permanent part-time 0.6 FTE role, starting Term 1, 2027. The position focuses on health and physical education, promoting activity, wellbeing, and lifelong sport participation.

The successful applicant will deliver engaging programs, manage classrooms effectively, and collaborate across teams to support school events and the Strategic Plan, fostering student well-being and engagement.

Qualifications

• Possess an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
• Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start;
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
• Strong understanding of WA Curriculum: Health and Physical Education and passion for promoting physical activity, health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate primary physical education programs.
• Support whole-school initiatives, school events, sporting carnivals, and interschool competitions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school’s Strategic Plan and ongoing improvement journey.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and active learning environment encouraging all students to participate.
