Job summary

Endeavour Foundation is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker specialising in Mental Health to engage in active support, helping clients live independently and achieve their plan goals in our SIL home at Dicky Beach.

You will support daily living skills, personal care, budgeting, meals and community activities, with flexible shifts (including overnights and weekends) and a commitment to privacy, dignity and respect for every person we support.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Experience providing support for complex mental health conditions is required.
• Experience in a SIL environment or supporting people with complex disabilities will be highly regarded.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends and sleepovers (penalty rates apply).
• Must be able to meet physical requirements; and hold or obtain necessary checks and a Driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Help clients achieve NDIs goals by developing daily living skills.
• Assist with personal care where required to meet individual needs.
• Support meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and community outings.
• Provide support during daily activities and appointments.
• Help clients maintain connections with family, friends and services.
