Job summary

Pymble Ladies’ College Sydney is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Junior School Performing Arts Teacher to commence January 2027. You will teach four strands—music, singing, drama and dance—across four grades, aligning with the NESA syllabus and the College’s curriculum philosophy.

The role involves collaboration with teachers, pastoral leaders and support staff to weave performing arts into the broader Junior School program.

Qualifications

• Hold current NESA accreditation and be familiar with NESA syllabus requirements across performing arts.
• Ability to teach music, singing, drama and dance in Junior School.
• Differentiate curriculum and design units reflecting developmental teaching models.
• Use digital technologies to enhance learning.
• Assess using formative and summative methods and inform teaching practice.
• Contribute positively to the Junior School team.
• Maintain clear behavioural expectations and build strong student relationships.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflect on teaching practice.
• Support student wellbeing and align with College values.
• Desirable: experience with various musical instruments; directing/producing junior school musicians; knowledge of Kodály.
