Job summary

Ovolo Sydney, part of the Ovolo Hotels Group, is seeking an energetic Events Sales Manager to drive the success of our iconic waterfront venue in Woolloomooloo. You will secure new business across the Greater Sydney market, focusing on MICE, corporate groups, social events, weddings and lifestyle partnerships.

You’ll nurture relationships with clients, agencies and partners to turn opportunities into revenue.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in sales management or business development within hospitality, conferences or events
• Strong understanding of the Sydney events and corporate market
• Proven ability to generate revenue and exceed targets
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Entrepreneurial, proactive and hands-on mindset
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Secure and grow new business across the Greater Sydney market, with focus on MICE, corporate groups, social events, weddings and lifestyle partnerships
• Be the first point of contact for event sales enquiries and support leadership and strategy of the Events division
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans and lead generation initiatives
• Manage sales calls, networking activities and lead the end-to-end event planning process
• Represent Ovolo at trade shows, site inspections and industry activations
• Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless event execution and customer experience
• Forecast, report and participate in revenue meetings
• Build and maintain strong sales pipelines and partnerships
