Job summary

The Fresh Collective is seeking an Event Coordinator & Host for UNSW The Lounge. This role involves managing event and group bookings from initial enquiry through to event day, while greeting guests and supporting the venue team.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will alternate between admin tasks, client contact, and hands-on floor duties, including site visits, quotes, function sheets, and assisting during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in event coordination, hospitality, reservations or another customer-facing role.
• Comfortable speaking with clients and guests in person and over the phone.
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several tasks at once and stay calm when busy.
• Experience with Momentus Elite, OpenTable or similar systems is a plus.
• Good food and beverage knowledge, or willingness to learn.
• Friendly, reliable and practical approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Responding to event, group booking and restaurant enquiries by phone and email.
• Preparing quotes, proposals, booking confirmations, deposit requests and invoices.
• Coordinating event details with clients, chefs, venue managers, service teams and suppliers.
• Preparing function sheets and keeping event information up to date.
• Organising staffing, equipment hire and other event requirements.
• Attending client meetings and site inspections when needed.
• Welcoming guests and managing front-of-house during events.
