Job summary

Broadford Primary School in central Victoria seeks a Classroom Teacher to deliver planned programs and engage students in literacy, numeracy and broader curriculum. The role includes planning, preparation and teaching to achieve student outcomes within range 1 and 2 classifications.

Successful candidates will use data to inform teaching, provide feedback to students and parents, and contribute to school priorities through policy and collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching and communicate progress.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Develop, implement and evaluate a curriculum area or program.
• Undertake related teaching and organizational duties as required by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Engage in non-teaching supervisory duties as needed.
