Job summary

Swissport Australia in Sydney is seeking a Cargo Flight Operations Agent to coordinate cargo operations within flight schedules. You will ensure efficient, safe handling from acceptance to loading and unloading, while collaborating with cargo agents, flight crews, ground operations and freight forwarders.

You will engage with customer service, service clients, and liaise with freight forwarders to create a seamless cargo experience.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating cargo operations and schedules.
• Ability to maintain safety, compliance and accurate reporting.
• Strong stakeholder liaison and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily cargo operations, including loading, unloading and transport coordination for scheduled flights.
• Ensure safety, weight distribution and cargo securing requirements.
• Liaise between flight crews, ground handlers, and departments for smooth cargo handling.
• Monitor real-time flight schedules and adjust operations for delays or disruptions; provide OH&S oversight.
• Ensure compliance with company and client procedures and regulations.
• Oversee cargo-related documentation (air waybills, manifests, customs forms).
• Prepare and submit regular operational reports; highlight performance issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cargo discrepancies, delays, or misrouted shipments; implement corrective actions.
