Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking an Assistant Venue Manager for Summit Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Mount Barker, SA. You will work with the Venue Manager to lead aquatic services, health club, cafe and creche, ensuring guest-focused outcomes.

The role requires flexible weekend hours, strong leadership, and a track record in facilities management within health, fitness or aquatics. The Centre Leadership Team values integrity, community engagement and proactive planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large Aquatic/Health & Fitness teams.
• Track record in guest experience, sales, retention and programs.
• Willingness to obtain or hold Working with Children checks.
• Strong collaboration with Centre Manager and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in hospitality, recreation or aquatic facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Management of large Aquatic services and Health and Fitness team, ensuring safety and open access.
• Manage sales, retention, guest experience and customer service, with responsive action to feedback.
• Oversee swim school bookings and program coordination with GoSwim Coordinator.
• Oversee daily guest service operations and retail with Guest Experience Coordinator.
• Oversee daily health club operations and group fitness scheduling with Health Club Coordinator.
• Support Centre Manager in growth of membership base by generating leads and delivering professional service.
• Weekend work may be required.
