Viasat in Australia is seeking a DWDM Optical Network Engineer to design and architect our core network infrastructure supporting a growing global satellite fleet. You'll work on end-to-end network designs from layer 1 to 3 and help shape our resilient transport architecture.
The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s in Electrical Engineering or CS, at least five years with multi-vendor gear, and hands-on experience with BER testers, OTDR, and coherent technology.

You will be working on the design and architecture of the company’s core network infrastructure to support our expanding global satellite fleet. You will also work on layer 1 through layer 3 network design, capacity planning and platform management as well as the design of routes for fiber‑based networks including point to point, ring, and path diverse routing.
