Job summary

YMCA Victoria is seeking a Duty Manager for the Warragul Leisure Centre to oversee centre operations during the 2026-27 summer season. You will act as a positive role model, lead shifts, and ensure programs and services run smoothly while safeguarding staff and users.

The role is casual with a competitive hourly rate, up to $42.35 AUD plus superannuation and YMCA benefits. Essential qualifications include lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate required.
• CPR (HLTAID009) certification required.
• First Aid (HLTAID011) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a focus on 'Big Picture' issues Centre wide.
• Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Centre's Emergency Action Plan.
• Working autonomously as well as being an active leader.

About the Role

Rawson Indoor Swimming Pool is looking for Duty Managers for the 2026-27 summer season!

As a Duty Manager at Warragul Leisure Centre, you will have delegated authority of the Centre Manager, and will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions whilst on shift which may include;

• Maintaining a focus on 'Big Picture' issues Centre wide
• Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Centre's Emergency Action Plan
• Working autonomously as well as being an active leader

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is up to $42.35 + superannuation + Y benefits.

About you

As a Duty Manager you will act as positive role model in an effort to build strong people, strong families and strong communities, as well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users.

Essential Qualifications

• Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Other Desired Qualifications or Knowledge

• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation is an advantage
• Previous experience in a similar facility in a supervisory role is desirable
