Range Brewing in Brisbane is seeking a Duty Manager to join Neighbour as our 2IC, leading shifts, developing the front-of-house team, and ensuring every guest has a great experience.

This full-time role reports to the Venue Manager and places you on the front line when the manager is off-site, stepping up to own a shift and contribute to a venue you’re proud to work in.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior floor or supervisory hospitality role.
• Strong knowledge of beer, cocktails and wine.
• RSA certified (or able to obtain prior to starting).
• Available across a rotating roster, including weekends.

Responsabilités

• Leading shifts at Neighbour with confidence, professionalism, and a high standard of service
• Managing and developing the front-of-house team on shift
• Ensuring opening and closing procedures are executed to a consistently high standard
• Handling end-of-day takings and cash management
• Supporting the Venue Manager with day-to-day operations and team supervision
• Maintaining venue presentation and cleanliness standards throughout every service
• Assisting with stock control, restocking, and par level maintenance
• Supporting the smooth coordination of food and beverage service between FOH and the kitchen
• Assisting in the delivery of special events and functions as required
• Escalating any operational, safety, or team issues to the Venue Manager promptly

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and capable Duty Manager to join the team at Neighbour as our 2IC. You will work alongside the Venue Manager to keep the venue running at its best, leading shifts, developing the team, and making sure every guest has a great experience.

This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Venue Manager. On shifts when the Venue Manager is off-site, you are the leader, the person the team looks to and the person responsible for the venue.This is the right role for someone who is ready to step up, take ownership of a shift, and make a real contribution to a venue they are proud to work in.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Strong knowledge of beer, cocktails and wine with the ability to engage and educate guests
• A confident, hands‑on shift leader who sets a strong example
• Reliable, organised, and detail‑oriented
• RSA certified (or able to obtain prior to starting)
• Available across a rotating roster, including weekends
