Job summary

The Colley Hotel in Glenelg, South Australia, is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee daily hotel operations, including F&B services, while leading a front-line team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will handle guest inquiries, manage inventory, and coordinate with department heads to drive efficient hotel activities and policy implementations. A minimum of two years in a similar role is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Duty Manager or Assistant Manager role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and staff at all levels.
• Proficient in using hotel management software and point-of-sale systems, H&L system
• Thorough understanding of hotel operations, including high-quality customer service, food and beverage
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions to resolve issues
• A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, including food and beverage services
• Managing and motivating a team of front-line hospitality staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences
• Handling guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
• Monitoring inventory and making necessary orders to ensure adequate supplies
• Liaising with other department heads to coordinate hotel activities and events
• Assisting with the implementation of new policies and procedures to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction
