Job summary

Hotel Metropole in Proserpine is seeking a Duty Manager to lead daily operations across the bar, restaurant and accommodation, ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience.

You will mentor and coach staff, manage rostering and budgets, oversee safety and licensing compliance, and handle guest inquiries with calm professionalism in a fast-paced, community‑minded venue that values service.

Qualifications

• Must hold RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues) to ensure licensing compliance.
• Approved Manager’s License required for managing licensed areas.
• RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification required to serve alcohol.
• RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling) certification required to oversee gambling activities.
• CLO (Customer Liaison Officer) certification is helpful for handling inquiries and complaints.

The Role:

• Lead with Impact: Oversee daily operations across our vibrant bar, bustling restaurant, and welcoming accommodation, ensuring every detail is perfect.

• Elevate Guest Experiences: Be the go-to person for our guests, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and making sure every visit is memorable.
• Drive Success: Manage staffing, scheduling, and inventory, while keeping an eye on budgets and ensuring we’re always operating efficiently.
• Champion Safety and Compliance: Ensure we meet all health, safety, and licensing regulations, keeping our team and guests safe.

Mandatory Qualifications:

If you do not currently hold all of the mandatory qualifications, you will be required to obtain them before commencing.
