Job summary

Rydges Geelong is seeking a proactive Duty Manager to lead hotel operations on a full-time salary basis. You will oversee Front Office, Guest Services, and Food & Beverage activities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth day-to-day operations.

You will manage check-ins/outs, guest requests, shift reporting, and staff coaching while upholding hotel standards and safety protocols. This role requires leadership, service orientation, and a flexible roster.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel supervisory or duty management role.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office and Food & Beverage operations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the hotel during your shift.
• Lead and support Front Office and Guest Services teams.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and resolve guest enquiries professionally.
• Assist with check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest requests.
• Support Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant, bar, conference and event service.
• Ensure hotel standards, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained.
• Handle shift reporting, cash management, and operational administration.
• Assist with staff training, coaching, and development.
• Act as the key point of contact for guests and team members outside standard management hours.

About the Role

As a Duty Manager / All-Rounder, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring our guests receive outstanding service across all touchpoints. No two days are the same, with responsibilities spanning Front Office, Guest Services, and Food & Beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the hotel during your shift
