Qualifications

Responsibilities

Haines Bros Earthmoving is seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Operator to join our team in Narellan, NSW. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with a respected earthmoving and construction company. As a Dump Truck Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials across various construction and earthmoving sites. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that projects stay on schedule and materials are delivered safely and on time.

What you'll be doing

Operating dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials including soil, gravel, aggregate and waste across construction and earthmoving sites

Conducting pre-operation vehicle inspections and reporting any mechanical issues or defects promptly

Adhering to all traffic regulations, speed limits and safety protocols whilst operating heavy vehicles

Loading and unloading materials in accordance with weight restrictions and safety guidelines

Maintaining accurate records of fuel consumption, mileage and delivery documentation

Communicating effectively with site supervisors, equipment operators and other team members

Performing routine maintenance tasks including cleaning and basic servicing of assigned vehicles

Ensuring all loads are secured and covered appropriately to prevent spillage

Responding promptly to work requests and adapting to changing site conditions and priorities

What we’re looking for

A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence with a clean driving record

Experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles in construction or earthmoving environments

A current National Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue Management Accreditation (if required)

Knowledge of road safety regulations and site safety protocols relevant to the construction industry

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently and follow instructions from site supervisors

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks

Reliability and punctuality in attendance and task completion
