Job summary

Kwek Flo Plumbing is seeking a qualified Vacuum Excavation Operator and Delivery Driver in Sydney. The role involves safely operating vac trucks, locating underground services and delivering materials to active sites, while maintaining safe work practices.

The position requires an HR licence, ability to work around metro Sydney, and physical fitness for manual handling. You will be part of a focused team with regular Monday–Friday hours and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vacuum excavation equipment for potholing and NDD of underground services.
• Deliver materials and equipment to active construction sites.
• Locate underground services including power, communications, water, gas, drainage and sewer.
• Complete delivery dockets and paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a clean, roadworthy vehicle at all times.
• Move materials between sites and assist team as required.
• Follow WHS procedures and report issues promptly.
• Assist with general duties as required.

Job description

• Safely operate vacuum excavation equipment and associated machinery for potholing/NDD of underground services, stormwater pipeline cleaning and other related works.
• Deliver materials and equipment from our yard to active construction sites.
• Locate underground services including power, communications, water, gas, drainage and sewer.
• Pick up orders and materials from suppliers and deliver them directly to site as required.
• Conduct daily pre-start and pre-operational checks and report any mechanical issues, defects or maintenance requirements.
• Safely load and unload materials and equipment as required.
• Move materials, tools and equipment between sites as directed.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, site requirements and relevant regulations, prioritising the safety of yourself and others.
• Complete delivery dockets, work records and other required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and roadworthy vehicle at all times.
• Accurately document work completed and maintain detailed records.
• Work collaboratively with the team and assist colleagues with general duties as required.

What We're Looking For

• Current HR licence (essential)
• Experience driving in metro Sydney – knowing your way around is a big plus
• Construction industry background preferred
• Must have Experience with vac truck / NDD operation
• White Card preferred
• Physically fit and able to assist with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
