Job summary

Mineral Resources (MinRes) seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex software projects spanning IT infrastructure, mining, marine and OT. You will manage cross-functional teams, govern scope, schedule and budget, and report to executives from our Perth-based Head Office with site and port travel as required.

The Role

Reporting to the DTS PMO Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex software projects that cross between IT infrastructure, corporate, Mining, Marine systems and Operational Technology (OT). You will lead multi-disciplinary teams. Your projects will improve data flow between enterprise and operational platforms and support our digital transformation. You will be based at our Perth corporate office and travel to operational sites, ports and marine facilities as required.

This is a permanent full-time role based at our Head Office in Osborne Park on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead projects from planning through to closure and benefits realisation. Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and governance under MinRes's framework.
• Run stage gates, steering committees and executive reporting.
• Build strong relationships with DTS, Corporate, Mining Operations, Marine Operations, HSE and external partners.
• Work with Mining Systems, Marine Systems and OT engineers to define requirements. Ensure IT, mining, marine and OT environments integrate reliably.
• Oversee mining systems and logistics initiatives, and lead marine systems projects.
• Identify and manage risks and issues, in line with MinRes's enterprise risk framework.
• Manage vendors, system integrators and contracts, working with Procurement and Legal
• Coach and mentor junior project managers and team members

What you'll bring

Essential

• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• A project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or MSP)
• 10+ years' project management experience, including 5+ years delivering mining, marine or operational systems projects
• A record of delivering complex technology projects over $5M from initiation through to benefits realisation, in resources, mining, marine, oil and gas, utilities or heavy industry
• Experience delivering software projects that cross IT, Mining, Marine and OT (for example fleet tracking, OT data integration, logistics optimisation or marine navigation and communications)
• Experience managing multi-vendor environments and complex stakeholder groups
• Strong financial acumen, advanced skills in project tools (such as MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow and Smartsheet) and excellent communication skills
• Resilience and composure when working through ambiguity

Desirable

• Agile or hybrid delivery experience (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience with cloud and hybrid IT/OT/Marine architectures
• Exposure to marine infrastructure delivery on vessels or at port (such as LiDAR, weather buoys, wave radar and Starlink)
• Knowledge of IEC 61511 and IEC 61508
