Job summary

Australian Red Cross Lifeblood is seeking a Session Leader at the Marion Donor Centre, South Australia. This permanent part-time role (63 hours per fortnight) leads daily operations, ensuring a safe, high-quality donor experience across rotating shifts Monday to Sunday.

You will coach and develop the team, translate strategy into actions, manage challenging situations with empathy, and drive continuous improvement while upholding Lifeblood’s safety standards.

About the role

We’re seeking a Session Leader to join our Marion Donor Centre. Reporting to the Donor Centre Manager, you’ll provide day-to-day operational leadership and oversight, ensuring the end-to‑end donation experience runs smoothly, safely and to a high standard.

In this role, you’ll help drive operational excellence, support and develop your team, and create an exceptional experience for donors. You’ll understand how your team contributes to broader business goals and confidently turn strategy into clear actions that support strong operational and customer outcomes.

You’ll provide direction, encouragement and support to build an effective team culture, while managing challenging situations with respect and empathy.

A day in the centre could see you:

• Flexibility to work 9 shifts per fortnight across a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, with centre operating hours ranging from 7am to 7:30pm
