Southern Housing is seeking an Estate Services operative in Croydon to provide bulk waste, general waste and void property clearance across our estates. You will drive to sites, use supplied tools and PPE, and ensure work is completed to our safety standards.

You must have a valid UK driving licence (category C1) and be prepared to work outdoors in all weather. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with residents and partner agencies are essential to maintain and improve the

Qualificações

• Experience of undertaking bulk, general waste and void property clearance duties.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with residents, external agencies and resident organisations.
• Work under your own initiative, with the team and under instruction.
• Basic health and safety considerations as they apply to this role.
• Sufficiently numerate to manage stock control, invoices and purchases.
• Able to plan and prioritise to ensure effective use of time.
• Valid UK driving licence with category C1 and ability to drive company vehicles.
• Understand and comply with relevant road transport legislation.

Responsabilidades

• Drive to estates and collect non-domestic refuse in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner.
• Attend void properties and clear them when requested.
• Carry out neat and tidy collections and clean up spillages on site.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by following health and safety standards.
• Work with residents to manage expectations and provide basic environmental guidance.
• Support the team to deliver seamless services as needed.
• Record what is collected and from where to support reporting.
• Assist with other duties such as jet washing bin stores.
• Report repairs or defects to maintenance and follow up as required.
