Job summary

Team Global Express in Mount Isa is seeking a HR Driver to join our local delivery team. This full-time role involves completing local freight deliveries, safe operation of a heavy rigid vehicle, and following routes and schedules with accuracy.

You must hold a Current & Valid HR License or higher, show a safety-first mindset, and deliver excellent customer service. We offer a competitive hourly rate, 15% superannuation, a location allowance and overtime when available.

Responsibilities

• Complete local deliveries and pick-ups across Mount Isa and surrounds.
• Safely operate a Heavy Rigid vehicle and comply with road rules.
• Follow allocated delivery routes and schedules, adjusting as needed to meet requirements.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start checks and report defects or maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and proof of delivery.
• Communicate with the depot regarding delivery progress and delays.

About the role

Team Global Express is seeking a HR Driver to commence immediately in Mount Isa

This is a Full Time Permanent Role, Monday to Friday

The successful applicant will receive 15% Superannuation and also be eligible for a Location allowance in addition to their hourly rate.

Overtime and weekend work will be offered when available

Complete local deliveries and pick-ups of freight across Mount Isa and surrounding areas, ensuring scheduled timeframes are met.

Safely operate a Heavy Rigid vehicle in accordance with road rules, traffic conditions and company procedures.

Follow allocated delivery routes and schedules, adjusting where necessary to meet operational requirements.

Conduct daily vehicle pre-start checks and report any defects, damage or maintenance issues.

Ensure freight is securely restrained using appropriate straps, chains and load-restraint equipment where required.

Monitor vehicle condition throughout the shift and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.

Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including proof of delivery and relevant consignment records.

Communicate with the depot regarding delivery progress, delays, route changes and any issues encountered on the road.

Ensure freight is delivered to the correct locations and collected in accordance with customer and operational requirements.

Drive safely and maintain a high standard of road safety when operating in local traffic and on regional roads.

Comply with fatigue management requirements, work and rest guidelines, and applicable heavy vehicle regulations.

Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle and ensure it is parked and secured appropriately when not in use.

Follow company procedures, including hazard identification and near-miss and incident reporting processes.

What you'll bring

You will hold a Current & Valid HR License or Higher

Previous delivery driving or transport experience is highly regarded.
