You will support water bore drilling operations, assist with day-to-day drilling tasks and help uphold safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Drillers Offsider or similar drilling support role.

Responsibilities

• Assist drillers with setup, operation and maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Prepare and organise drilling sites with materials and tools.

• Monitor drilling operations and report issues to supervising staff.
• Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace.
• Perform general labour and site cleanup.

Matthew & Sons Drilling Services Pty Ltd is seeking a Drillers Offsider to join our team on a casual basis. This role is based in Narrabri NSW 2390 and offers an exciting opportunity to work within the natural resources and water sector. As a Drillers Offsider, you will provide essential support to our water bore drilling operations, assisting with day-to-day drilling activities and contributing to the safe and efficient execution of our projects. This position is fundamental to the success of our drilling team and offers exposure to all aspects of drilling operations in the natural resources industry.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting drillers with the setup, operation and maintenance of drilling equipment and machinery
• Preparing and organising drilling sites, ensuring all materials and tools are readily available
• Supporting the safe handling and transportation of drilling equipment and materials
• Monitoring drilling operations and reporting any issues or concerns to supervising staff
• Following all health and safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment
• Performing general labouring tasks and assisting with site cleanup and maintenance
• Supporting the drilling team with technical tasks under the direction of experienced drillers

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Drillers Offsider or in a similar drilling support role
• Sound understanding of health and safety practices relevant to drilling operations
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliability and the ability to follow instructions from supervisory staff
• A valid HR driver's license and ability to travel to different sites as required. Road ranger endorsement preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices and environmental responsibility
• Willing to work away for several days at a time
