Job summary

Action Drill & Blast is seeking experienced Drillers for the Callide Project on a 4/5/5/4/5/5 roster, DIDO. You will operate blasthole drill rigs safely and efficiently, delivering quality drilling while working with site teams to meet production targets.

We value safety and teamwork, with opportunities to develop skills across multiple drill rigs and projects within the NRW Holdings group. Applicants must have rights to work in Australia and a current Australian Driver Licence.

Qualifications

• Experience operating blasthole drill rigs in open-cut mining, coal industry preferred.
• Commitment to safety, following site procedures and risk controls.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate blasthole drill rigs to meet daily production targets and drilling requirements.
• Accurately drill blast holes to the required depth and specifications, maintaining hole quality.
• Monitor ground conditions and drilling performance, reporting changes or issues.
• Complete daily production reports and site documentation.
• Maintain a strong safety focus by following procedures and completing risk assessments.
• Operate a variety of drill rigs across the Action Drill & Blast fleet.

Role Overview:

As a Driller with Action Drill& Blast, you will beresponsible for safely andefficiently operating blasthole drill rigs at our Callideprojects. Working closely withthe Drill Supervisor and siteteams, you will deliveraccurate and consistentdrilling performance whilemaintaining equipment, meetingproduction targets and ensuringall work is completed inaccordance with siterequirements and company safetystandards. You will be part ofa supportive, high-performingteam, with opportunities todevelop your skills across arange of drill rigs andprojects.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the ProjectManager or their delegate, youwill be responsible for, butnot limited to:

Safely andefficiently operateblast hole drillrigs to meet dailyproduction targetsand drillingrequirements.

Accurately drillblast holes to therequired depth andspecifications,maintainingconsistent holequality.

Monitor groundconditions anddrillingperformance,promptly reportingany changes orissues that mayimpactoperations.

Complete routinerig inspections,pre-starts andbasic maintenance,reporting faults orequipment issues asrequired.

Complete accuratedaily productionreports andoperationaldocumentation inaccordance withsiterequirements.

Maintain a strongsafety focus byfollowing siteprocedures,identifying hazardsand completingrequired riskassessments.

Demonstrate aflexible andadaptable attitude,with a willingnessto be trained andoperate a varietyof drill rigplatforms acrossthe Action Drill &Blast fleet.

About You:

Demonstratedexperienceoperating blasthole drill rigs inan open-cut miningenvironment,preferably withinthe coalindustry.

Strong commitmentto safety, with theability to followsite procedures,identify hazardsand maintain safeworkpractices.

Reliable andself-motivated,with a strong workethic and theability to workeffectively bothindependently andas part of ateam.
