Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join the Middlemount Mine operation, offering a 7/7 day shift roster and a permanent role with annual/personal leave, meals, camp accommodation and PPE provided.

You will be responsible for drill maintenance, servicing and inspections, and will work day or night shifts, delivering planned repairs within time and cost constraints while prioritising safety and procedural compliance.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified with post-trade experience in the mining industry (Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic)
• Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Queensland driver licence

Responsibilities

• Drill maintenance, general repairs, fault diagnostics, servicing, daily refueling and inspections
• Ability to work day and night shifts
• Execute planned repairs within time and cost requirements
• Be self-motivated and able to work as directed
• Be committed to procedure based preventative maintenance.

We are seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join our well-established operation at Middlemount Mine.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience with Sandvik DR412i Drill rigs highly advantageous.
