Job summary

Marble Group on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a leader to head a drafting team and potentially step into a production/operations management role. The position focuses on leadership, mentorship, and maintaining high drafting standards while ensuring accurate, construction-ready drawings.

Ideal candidates will have strong joinery drafting knowledge and be able to drive efficiency and quality across multiple projects, with on-site leadership and coordination responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of onsite drafters (up to 8–9).
• Set daily priorities and coordinate team workflow.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, detailed, and construction-ready.
• Review shop drawings before issue to Project Managers.
• Monitor output to meet targets and deadlines.
• Drive improvements in systems, processes and efficiencies.
• Maintain and uplift drafting standards across all projects.

An opportunity for a team leader / drafting manager / scheduler or production manager to take on their next challenge!

Lead and develop a large drafting team in the Sunshine Coast.

Whislt drafting knowledge is a must, a big part of the role is the leadership, mentorship and driving quality and standards. You will play a critical role in coordianting the team & ensuring work produce is accurate and efficient.

Please note the role is based in the Sunshine Coast and would not suit a fully remote candidate.

The Role:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of up to 8 / 9 onsite drafters
• Set daily priorities and coordinate team workflow
• Ensure drawings are accurate, detailed, and construction-ready
• Review shop drawings before issue to Project Managers
• Monitor output to ensure targets and deadlines are met
• Drive improvements in systems, processes and efficiencies
• Maintain and uplift drafting standards across all projects

About you:

• Strong knowledge of joinery drafting - Pallette Cad would be advantageous but not essential (would accept similar software knowledge - microvellum, cabinet vision, pytha or similar)
• Excellent understanding of joinery construction methodology
• A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement
