Job summary

Bluestone Recruitment represents a growing residential builder in Prahran seeking a Drafting Manager to lead its documentation and design function. You will manage a small offshore drafting team and partner with Estimating, Construction and Design to ensure documentation is accurate and ready for site.

Qualifications

• Experienced Architectural Draftsperson, Building Designer or Senior Draftsperson aiming for a leadership role.
• Strong residential drafting background with attention to quality and standards.
• Proficient in Revit and able to mentor junior drafters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small offshore drafting team.
• Review and ensure quality and compliance of construction documentation.
• Ensure projects are documented and ready to proceed to site.
• Collaborate with Estimating, Construction and Design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead design development and coordinate design changes.
• Manage variations and construction details.
• Develop drafting standards, processes and quality controls.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the wider business.
• Coordinate documentation between internal teams and external stakeholders.
