Job summary

Gunning Design Co. is seeking a Building Designer / Draftsperson (Autodesk Revit) for a contract position.

You will focus on drafting and construction documentation for a range of residential projects, working with the principal to develop drawing packages from concept through to approvals and documentation. You will prepare drawings, develop Revit models, coordinate with consultants, and assist with design development.

Qualifications

• Experience producing architectural documentation for residential projects.
• Ability to develop drawings from concept through to council approvals.
• Strong understanding of Australian residential construction methods and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and high-quality documentation.

Building Designer / Draftsperson (Autodesk Revit) – Contract Position

This position will primarily focus on Autodesk Revit drafting and construction documentation for a range of residential projects. Working closely with the principal, you will play an important role in developing drawing packages from concept design through to council approvals and construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

Prepare architectural drawings and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit.

Produce Development Application and Construction Certificate drawing packages.

Develop and maintain detailed Revit models for residential projects.

Coordinate drawings with consultants and project requirements.

Assist with design development and project coordination where required.

Maintain a high level of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail across all project documentation.

About you

Be experienced in Autodesk Revit and confident producing architectural documentation.

Have experience within the building design, drafting or residential construction industry.

Possess a strong understanding of Australian residential construction methods and building regulations.

Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing quality work.

Be organised, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Have strong communication skills and enjoy working within a small, collaborative team.

Have a genuine interest in residential architecture and good design.
