Job summary

Australian Unity (North) is seeking Support Workers for in-home care roles to help aged care customers live independently at home. Permanent part-time positions offer a competitive rate of $30.60 per hour plus 11% super and a travel allowance.

Role requires a current Australian driver’s licence, a reliable insured vehicle, vaccination, and flexibility to roster between 7am and 6pm, Mon-Sun. Relevant certificates or 12 months aged care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle.
• COVID-19 vaccination: at least 2 doses.
• Certificate III in Individual Support or 12 months experience in aged care.

Responsibilities

• Help at Home: cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and assisted dressing.
• Social & Wellbeing: accompany clients to appointments and outings.
• Safety: safe manual handling and driver awareness.
• Transport: transportation to appointments, shopping and social outings.

Key Requirements:

• Current Australian Drivers License and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle
• Fully vaccinated minimum 2 doses for Covid-19
• Flexibility to work rosters between 7am to 6pm between Monday to Sunday
• Minimum 12 months experience and/or a Certificate III in Individual Support

To be successful in this role:

• Must have a Current Australian Provisional or Full Drivers licence
• Must have a reliable vehicle Comprehensive Insurance desirable not mandatory
• Must either have a certificate III in Individual Support or 12 months experience working in a similar role or in an Aged Care setting
• Must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID19 Vaccination
