Job summary

Harbour at Home is seeking a Domestic Assistant to help clients live independently in their own homes across Grafton, Lawrence, Maclean and Townsend. This hands-on cleaning and customer service role welcomes you into clients’ homes with a friendly, high-quality service.

You will be reliable, friendly and comfortable working independently in different clients’ homes, focusing on delivering a fresh, comfortable living environment for each client.

Qualifications

• Driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• National criminal history/police check.
• A love for cleaning and pride in work.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning clients’ homes, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms and kitchens.
• Making beds, changing linen and assisting with laundry, including hanging, folding and ironing.
• Keeping homes clean, safe and comfortable for clients.
• Providing friendly, respectful and reliable service to every client.
• Building rapport with clients and communicating with Harbour at Home team.

About The Role

Our Domestic Assistants play a vital role in helping our clients continue to live comfortably and independently in their own homes across Grafton, Lawrence, Maclean and Townsend.

This is very much a hands-on cleaning role, providing regular domestic assistance to older people in their homes. Just as importantly, it’s a customer service role. You’ll be welcomed into our clients’ homes, build trusted relationships and take pride in providing a reliable, friendly and high-quality service.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Cleaning clients’ homes, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms and kitchens
• Making beds, changing linen and assisting with laundry, including hanging, folding and ironing
• Helping maintain clean, safe and comfortable home environments
• Providing friendly, respectful and reliable service to every client
• Building rapport with clients and communicating openly with the wider Harbour at Home team

ou’re someone who genuinely loves cleaning and takes pride in doing a great job. You’re reliable, friendly and comfortable working independently in different clients’ homes.

You understand that the little things matter, from leaving a home feeling fresh and comfortable to taking the time to have a friendly conversation with a client.
