Job summary

Harbour at Home in Coffs Harbour is seeking Domestic Assistants to help clients live comfortably and independently at home. This is a hands-on cleaning and customer service role, where you’ll be welcomed into clients’ homes and build trusted relationships.

Shifts are between 9am and 3pm with flexible, shorter shifts across the week, covering areas from North Boambee to Urunga, including Bellingen. Compliance requirements include a valid driver licence, vehicle, First Aid & CPR, and a police

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or domestic assistance experience welcome.
• Reliable, friendly and able to work independently.
• Genuine interest in aged care and helping clients stay home.

Responsibilities

• Clean clients’ homes: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms and kitchens.
• Make beds, change linen and assist with laundry.
• Help maintain clean, safe and comfortable home environments.
• Provide friendly, reliable service and build rapport with clients.
• Communicate openly with the Harbour at Home team.

About The Role

Our Domestic Assistants play a vital role in helping our clients continue to live comfortably and independently in their own homes.

This is very much a hands-on cleaning role, providing regular domestic assistance to older people across the Coffs Harbour community. Just as importantly, it’s a customer service role. You’ll be welcomed into our clients’ homes, build trusted relationships and take pride in providing a reliable, friendly and high-quality service.

Shifts are primarily between 9am and 3pm and are generally shorter shifts, offering flexibility across your week. You will drive to the homes of clients between North Boambee to Urunga, including Bellingen.

Your responsibilities include:

• Cleaning clients’ homes, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms and kitchens


• Making beds, changing linen and assisting with laundry, including hanging, folding and ironing


• Helping maintain clean, safe and comfortable home environments


• Providing friendly, respectful and reliable service to every client


• Building rapport with clients and communicating openly with the wider Harbour at Home team

About You

You’re someone who genuinely loves cleaning and takes pride in doing a great job. You’re reliable, friendly and comfortable working independently in different clients’ homes.

You understand that the little things matter, from leaving a home feeling fresh and comfortable to taking the time to have a friendly conversation with a client.
