About the Role

As a Dog Groomer, you’ll deliver professional grooming services while ensuring every dog receives safe, gentle and attentive care. You’ll work closely with the wider grooming team to create a calm, welcoming environment and deliver our signature Blue Ribbon Groom 8 Steps - a key part of what makes our service special. Generally, you will:

• Deliver professional grooming services tailored to each dog’s breed, coat type, condition and needs;
• Follow the Blue Ribbon Groom 8 Steps for every applicable grooming appointment, ensuring all 8 steps are completed in accordance with our procedures;
• Prioritise animal welfare, handle dogs safely and compassionately, and recognise signs of stress or discomfort;
• Consult with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and communicate any relevant concerns about their dog’s coat, skin or wellbeing;
• Keep grooming equipment, workstations and salon areas clean, hygienic and organised;
• Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure an efficient and positive experience for every dog;
• Communicate any concerns, incidents or circumstances that may affect the safe completion of grooming.

At Fido & Fido, our signature Blue Ribbon Groom 8 Steps set the standard for an exceptional grooming experience. Every applicable appointment must include all eight steps, without exception. If any step is missed, the customer is entitled to a full refund.
