Job summary

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) in Victoria is offering an entry-level stores and inventory role focused on stock management, receiving, packing and accurate records. It combines practical stock duties with administrative and customer service responsibilities to support the day-to-day district and stores functions.

Based in Bendigo with hybrid work options, this full-time position provides exposure to inventory management, administration and supplier coordination, with opportunities for ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience with stores, warehousing or inventory management functions is critical.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stores duties inclusive of stock management, lifting >15kg, receipting incoming goods, picking and packing outgoing items, labelling & tracking.
• Warehouse and logistics including PPC/E management, order collation dispatch and repairs.
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes and coordinate purchasing requirements.
• Maintaining and updating stores and financial information within CFA systems including SAP and RMS
• Adhoc administrative and office support duties.
• On occasion coordinating meetings including scheduling, agenda preparation, venue bookings and catering requirements.
• Records administration and data entry.
• Database and systems coordination.
• Accounts payable administration.
