Job summary

DBCA, Western Australia, seeks a District Sustainable Forest Management Coordinator based in Collie. The role leads the Sustainable Forest Management service for the Wellington district, planning works, monitoring operations and liaising with community and stakeholders to drive positive biodiversity outcomes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership of staff and contractors, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage budgets within financial constraints.

Qualifications

• Delivery of a sustainable forest management service with planning and monitoring.
• Liaising with external organisations, authorities, stakeholders and media.
• Leadership and management of staff, contractors and volunteers where applicable.
• Administration and financial management within budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of Sustainable Forest Management in the Wellington district.
• Plan and implement works programs in line with service objectives.
• Monitor operations on State Forest and timber reserves and report outcomes.
• Liaise with community, key stakeholders and specialist groups.
