Job summary

DBCA in Western Australia seeks a District Sustainable Forest Management Coordinator based in Collie. The role leads delivery of Sustainable Forest Management services across the Wellington district, with responsibilities for planning works programs, monitoring forest operations and stakeholder engagement.

Under direction of the District Manager (Level 4) or with limited direction (Level 5), you will supervise staff, contractors and volunteers, manage budgets and ensure compliance with safety

Qualifications

• Experience delivering a sustainable forest management service (Level 4/5).
• Experience liaising at senior level with external organisations including local authorities, private companies, other government agencies, stakeholders and media.
• Experience leading staff, contractors and volunteers with development and performance management.
• Experience in administration and financial management including budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Sustainable Forest Management works programs for the Wellington district.
• Monitor operations on State forest and timber reserves; include mining and ecological thinning.
• Liaise with community, stakeholders and specialist groups.
• Lead and manage staff, contractors and volunteers to deliver outcomes within constraints.
