Job summary

Powercor in Echuca, Victoria, is seeking a Lineworker – Distribution to join a field-based team delivering safe, reliable electricity. You will construct, commission, operate and maintain distribution networks, and manage faults across overhead and underground systems.

The role requires ESI qualifications, the ESV Lineworker licence, HR licence and HV training. Competitive salary under the CitiPower Powercor enterprise agreement with generous entitlements.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead or equivalent (mandatory).
• ESI Worker validation for Victoria and VESI Rigging required.
• ESV licence as a Lineworker or eligibility to apply (mandatory).
• Heavy Vehicle Licence - HR (mandatory).
• High Voltage Operating training/authority (mandatory).
• Interstate applicants: provide qualification evidence, SOTA, High Risk Licences and Construction Induction Card.

Responsibilities

• Undertake duties associated with construction, commissioning, operating and maintenance of overhead and underground transmission/distribution systems
• Operate plant, tools and equipment related to construction, commissioning, operating and maintenance of systems
• Locate & rectify faults
• Install and maintain metering at customers’ premises
• Install and maintain overhead and underground services
• Manage work priorities and make decisions on time required to complete tasks and attend client appointments
