Job summary

Bundaberg Plaza Discount Drug Store in Bundaberg is seeking a Dispensary Technician/Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists in delivering safe, efficient patient care. You will work across the dispensary and packing areas in a busy community pharmacy team.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in a dispensary or packing role, are comfortable with pharmacy software, and possess strong attention to detail and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in a dispensary, pharmacy assistant, or packing technician role is ideal.
• Experience with medication packing or blister packs preferred.
• Confident using computers and pharmacy dispensing software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be an Australian permanent resident with full work rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and manage medication packing (blister packs / dose administration aids)
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy dispensing software
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients
• Assist with stock management and inventory control
• Help maintain an organised and efficient dispensary and packing area
