Job summary

NSP Personnel is seeking an experienced Dispatch/Warehouse Operator for a day shift in Victoria, Australia. The role is an ongoing casual position, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an ASAP start for the right candidate and potential for permanent placement.

You will work within a small team, handling picking/packing, order preparation, coordination with freight firms, and using computer systems to track orders. Forklift licence is required, with forklift use mainly as needed.

Dispatch / Warehouse Operator - Day Shift

We are urgently seeking an experienced Dispatch/Warehouse Operator to join our client's team. This is an ASAP start for the right candidate, with ongoing work available.

This is an ongoing casual position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on day shift, with the opportunity for permanent placement for the right candidate.

About the Role

Working as part of a small team of approximately 5 people, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse and dispatch operations.

Your duties will include:

• Picking and packing customer orders
• Preparing orders for dispatch
• Liaising with freight companies and coordinating deliveries
• Using computer systems to manage orders and freight
• General warehouse duties
• Forklift operation as required
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment

About You

• A current Forklift Licence
• Previous warehouse, dispatch or logistics experience
• Good computer skills and confidence using computer systems
• Strong communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Reliable and punctual work ethic
• Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines

While a forklift licence is required, this is primarily a warehouse and dispatch role, with forklift driving only required occasionally throughout the day.
