Job summary

Pino's Trattoria in Cowes on Phillip Island is seeking a reliable dishwasher to support our busy back-of-house team. No experience required; training will be provided.

You will help maintain a clean kitchen, operate a commercial dishwasher, and ensure dishes, pots, and utensils are ready for service. You should be able to stand for long periods, work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and have a flexible schedule including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains kitchen equipment cleaning schedule and can operate a commercial dishwasher.
• Ensure station cleanliness and organisation; storeroom/cool room upkeep.
• Wash dishes, flatware, pots and pans; keep dish area sanitised.
• Take out trash/recycling; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing duties; follow food safety guidelines.
• Communicate with kitchen staff to aid efficient workflow; assist chefs as needed.

Be a part of a Well Known Established Restaurant for 30+ years located in Cowes - Phillip Island.

What you would be doing

Are you an Individual that prides themselves on cleanliness & clean environment? This role sits within our existing team to assist in the efficiency of the kitchen and our venue. This position is an integral role within our team, we take pride in serving great food in a warm, welcoming environment and behind every delicious dish is a clean kitchen—and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for reliable, hard-working Dishwashers to join our back-of-house team and keep things running smoothly..

The main things that you would be doing include:

Maintains Kitchen equipment cleaning schedule maintenance & can operate a commercial dishwasher

Highly regards cleanliness of station

Storeroom /cool room maintenance & organisation

Wash dishes, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwasher or by hand as needed

Keep dish area clean, organised, and sanitised at all times

Take out trash and recycling, sweep and mop floors as needed

Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing duties

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow

Assist Chefs in portioning & preparation
