Job summary

The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water seeks a Discovery Coordinator Aboriginal Identified to join the Hunter Central Coast Branch. The role supports the Aboriginal Discovery Program across the region, working with Aboriginal communities, Elders, knowledge holders and partners to deliver authentic cultural learning experiences.

Aboriginal identity is essential for this Identified role; candidates must meet eligibility criteria and hold a WWCC.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities across teams.
• Strong commitment to cultural safety and respectful knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Aboriginal and Discovery program activities across the branch.
• Build and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal communities and partners.
• Support development and delivery of authentic cultural learning experiences.
• Promote opportunities for Aboriginal participation in Discovery programs.
• Ensure high-quality, culturally safe delivery of Aboriginal Discovery activities.
• Assist with planning, promotion, monitoring and evaluation of activities.
