About the Client: Our client is a gentleman in his late 50s living with early onset Alzheimer's disease and coeliac disease. Before his diagnosis, he was an active man who enjoyed the gym, church and the company of family. When supported by calm, familiar staff and a predictable routine, he can still be sociable and easy-going, enjoying simple conversation and time outdoors.
This is a male-only role. Being male is a genuine occupational requirement under Section 30 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), given the nature of intimate personal care our client requires and the client's preferences and safety considerations documented in his care plan.
You will support our client across a 24/7 SIL model, working across morning routines, community access, meal preparation, evening supervision and active overnight shifts. You will work alongside a small, dedicated household team, guided by a Positive Behaviour Support Plan and supported by our clinical and rostering functions.
All staff must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
