Job summary

Maxlife Care in NSW is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide in-home, person-centred care to clients with complex needs.

You will support daily tasks, mobility support, medication administration, and community engagement under supervision, with ongoing training and career growth opportunities. Emphasis on empathy, safety, and client dignity in a doctor-led team.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in the disability sector.
• Experience across disabilities including behaviours of concern, mental health and dementia.
• Experience supporting clients with COPD; portable oxygen experience preferred.
• Confidence with manual handling and full-body hoist.
• Certificate III in Disability (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Providing in-home support with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal care and medication administration.
• Assisting with domestic duties around the home.
• Supporting clients to engage with their community and participate in meaningful activities.
• Enabling clients to work towards and achieve their personal goals.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced male candidates for Disability Support Worker roles, with a background in supporting people with mental health conditions and behaviours of concern. This role reports to an Area Manager who will support and train you to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.

About the Role

• Strong communication skills.
• Genuine empathy for the issues facing people with disability.
• A strong belief in the principles of person-centred practice.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to work well under pressure.
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• NSW Driver's Licence (or similar) and own car preferred.
