Convenient Care in Melbourne's western suburbs is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our casual workforce pool. Roles involve personal care, in-home support, meal prep, community access, transport, and support plan adherence, with duties varying by participant needs.

Applicants must meet screening requirements and have relevant checks where required. Shifts will be assigned as referrals are confirmed.

• Successful candidates may be offered shifts supporting NDIS participants with everyday activities, personal care and participation in their local communities.
• Personal care: Assisting with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and daily hygiene while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• In-home support: Supporting daily routines, household tasks and independent living skills.
• Meal preparation: Preparing meals in accordance with participants' dietary needs, preferences and routines.
• Community access: Supporting shopping, appointments, social activities and recreational outings.
• Transport: Assisting participants to access appointments and community activities safely.
• Person-centred support: Following individual support plans and communicating observations to the team.

As we prepare to expand our service delivery, we are inviting expressions of interest from compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our casual workforce pool.

Please note: Convenient Care is currently building its participant base. Shifts will become available as participant referrals are confirmed and service requirements are established. Immediate shifts and guaranteed hours cannot be promised.

About the role

Successful candidates may be offered shifts supporting NDIS participants with everyday activities, personal care and participation in their local communities.

Depending on participant needs, responsibilities may include:

• Personal care: Assisting with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and daily hygiene while maintaining dignity and privacy.

• In-home support: Supporting daily routines, household tasks and independent living skills.

• Meal preparation: Preparing meals in accordance with participants' dietary needs, preferences and routines.

• Community access: Supporting shopping, appointments, social activities and recreational outings.

• Transport: Assisting participants to access appointments and community activities safely.

• Person-centred support: Following individual support plans, respecting participant choices and communicating relevant observations to the appropriate team members.

Duties will depend on the participant's individual requirements, your assessed competencies and the supports Convenient Care is engaged to deliver.

Previous disability support experience is desirable. Relevant qualifications, practical experience and willingness to undertake required training will be considered.

Essential requirements

Applicants must be able to meet the screening, safety and competency requirements relevant to the position, including:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check, where required.

• Working rights in Australia.

• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these where appropriate to the role.

• Relevant qualifications and experience for the duties offered.

• A valid driver's licence and reliable transport where required for the position.

• Any additional checks, training or competencies required for the participant and service.

• A Working with Children Check may be required for relevant duties.
