Job summary

Unisson Disability is seeking a dedicated support worker in New South Wales to assist a group of clients with various disabilities in a shared home. You will provide active support to help clients achieve independence and wellbeing, including daily living activities and psychosocial support.

Role requires driving NSW-licensed vehicles, flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and experience with complex needs.

Qualifications

Willing to work active night & sleepover shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Hold a NSW Driver's Licence (P2/full) and be confident driving Unisson vehicles.
Experience with high complex needs clients (PEG/PEJ and CPAP) is highly desirable.
Experience in disability support is preferred.
Cert III/IV in Disability is desirable.
First Aid Certificate required.
NDIS Worker Screening Check required.
Working With Children Check may be required for the role.

Responsibilities

Delivering active support aligned with each client's goals and support plans
Supporting with daily living activities in their home including cooking and cleaning
Assisting with daily personal care tasks (e.g., toileting, showering, dressing)
Using safe manual handling techniques in accordance with individual plans
Facilitating community access and transport using Unisson vehicles or public transport
Building trusted relationships with clients, families and external stakeholders
Maintaining accurate documentation, reports and records
Working collaboratively within a close-knit team
Responding appropriately to incidents in line with Unisson and NDIS guidelines

Job description

You'll assist a group of clients with various disabilities and daily support needs, who live together in a shared home. You'll be a key part of helping them achieve greater independence and wellbeing in their daily lives. Operating under the active support model, the role involves support with all activities of daily living including psychosocial support, physical support, support maintaining their household, support maintaining health and wellbeing.

About you

Working With Children Check (if required for the role)
