Job summary

Meraki Care Services is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team across the Sunshine Coast and Caboolture regions. You will provide person-centred support in SIL homes, helping participants to achieve goals, build independence and improve quality of life.

We offer morning, afternoon, weekend and sleepover shifts, with a rotating roster and a supportive team culture. Relevant qualifications, a current driver licence, and a valid working with children/vaccination

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Disability Support or the NDIS sector.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Reliable, roadworthy vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Current Flu Vaccination.
• Smartphone with internet/data access.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and inactive overnight shifts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, compassionate and committed to providing quality supports.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Physically capable of performing manual handling and other support worker duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred supports to individuals living with psychosocial and other disabilities.
• Implement Individual Support Plans and Positive Behaviour Support Strategies.
• Assist with medication administration in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Support participants with their emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living as required.
• Complete domestic duties including meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and household maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes and incident reporting.
• Promote participant choice, independence, dignity and community inclusion.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the rights of all participants.

Meraki Care Services, is a person-centered disability support provider committed to empowering individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across the Sunshine Coast and Caboolture regions.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants living in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes throughout the Caloundra, Sunshine Coast and Caboolture areas.

You will play an important role in supporting participants to achieve their goals, build independence, and enhance their quality of life while promoting dignity, choice, and inclusion.

We currently have morning, afternoon, weekend and inactive overnight (sleepover) shifts available as part of a supportive rotating roster.
