Job summary

Life Without Barriers is looking for a dedicated Support Worker for Supported Independent Living (SIL) in New South Wales. The role supports people with disability in shared housing or their own home, across a 24/7 roster, including overnight shifts as needed.

You will help with daily living activities, mobility, personal care, and community engagement, promoting choice, independence and participation for clients. A valid driver’s licence and First Aid are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a current unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to drive a work van for client transportation.
• Must hold a current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 or HLTAID011.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily living activities and personal care.
• Assist with medications and PEG feeding as required.
• Provide mobility support and transfers including wheelchair assistance.
