Job summary

A community support organization is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to assist individuals with complex needs, including behaviours of concern. The role requires a calm professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, particularly with challenging behaviours. You will support clients in a supported independent living environment and document care plans. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Demonstrated experience supporting people with challenging behaviours.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support according to care plans.
• Safely support clients displaying behaviours of concern.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care.
• Implement de-escalation techniques in challenging situations.
• Document incidents and successful strategies accurately.
• Collaborate with families and internal teams.
