Job summary

SydWest Multicultural Services Inc. is hiring a Disability Support Worker to deliver personalised care and supports in line with NDIS plans across participant homes and community settings.

You will assist with personal care, meals, health activities, and transport, while maintaining safety, dignity, and cultural responsiveness. A strong focus on documentation, line-management communication, and professional collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Current NDIS Workers Clearance Check.
• Current First Aid certificate and CPR.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Completed relevant training modules (e.g. NDIS worker Orientation Module, Infection Control training).
• Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19.
• Epilepsy training may be beneficial.
• Knowledge of safe manual handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality supports in line with the objectives of the NDIS either in the participant's home, Riverlink site or in the community.
• Represent Riverlink in a professional and positive manner.
• Adhere to Riverlink Policies and Procedures and the Code of Conduct.
• Work independently and demonstrate flexible, team-based work ethics.
• Attend meetings, training, professional development, and supervision as required.
• Ensure all information regarding participants' wellbeing and changes to support needs are reported to the line manager.
• Ensure changes in support schedules are reported to a line manager.
• Drive Riverlink vehicles or use own vehicle with appropriate insurance when transporting clients.
• Submit insurance documents for vehicle use as required by policy.
• Travel across locations including West Pennant Hills, Blacktown and Rooty Hills.
